"Music flows inside of me like blood flows inside of you." - CFT

"Carrie Faye" Thompson began writing poems and songs at a very young age. She first started playing her Dad's Ibanez guitar at the age of eleven, and then received her own on her twelfth birthday. Over the years, Carrie has specialized in writing songs that tell stories. She has written for numerous weddings, as well as found ways to help families say goodbye to their loved ones through music.  She has been fortunate to play in inspiring venues, meet phenomenal indie musicians, and honored to open for incredible and inspiring acoustic acts such as Jesse Colin Young and John Stewart. Her first CD, "A Window to my Heart" was self-produced and donor-funded in 1999. Carrie's music fell silent for many years until attending Rocky Mountain Song School in the summer of 2017. There she was invited to play an original song on stage at the Wildflower Pavillion in Lyons, CO. The love and support she received there encouraged her to find her voice and start writing again.  Carrie Faye believes that what is next for us all is still yet to be written. Thus our need to Remain Teachable.
